Sit for the pledge. Stand for your rights.
Resources for Adults
The American Humanist Association encourages everyone—regardless of age—to exercise their First Amendment right to abstain from participating in the Pledge of Allegiance if they so choose. No person should be forced by the government to stand for the Pledge.
Be it a town council meeting, police officer training, or other government-sponsored function, you have a constitutional right to abstain from participating in the Pledge.
